You can see whales all-year-round on this coast, and even more, pods come during the annual ‘sardine run’. Within an hour’s drive, you can access Big Five game drives Mantis Founders Lodge where you can spend the night and enjoy twice-daily guided game drives and nature walks. If your time is limited, a day visit to Addo Elephant National Park is also just an hour away, and there you can choose between a self-drive through the reserve using a map, or a guided safari with a professional ranger. The Addo Elephant Park includes a game reserve, the world’s largest range of sand dunes, and a marine reserve.
