The Lodge stands on a hill at the southern tip of the Akagera National Park elevated above the savannah with exceptional views of Lake Ihema. With 60 rooms and suites, large pool and pool deck overlooking Lake Ihema, a conference centre, restaurant, and bar – Mantis Akagera Game Lodge is the perfect home base while conferencing or exploring the conservation treasures of Akagera National Park.
Located in Akagera National Park, the lodge adheres to the park’s policy of closing gates at 6 PM. No entry is allowed after this time, therefore cannot accommodate late arrivals beyond 6 PM. Please plan your travel accordingly.
2024 Conservation Levy is $18.7 for international passport holders, $6 for resident card holders. 2025 Conservation Levy is $19 internationals and $6.5 for residents, and chargeable by hotel. Park fees will be charged at entrance of Akagera National Park.

Akagera Game Lodge is located in the southern section of the Akagera National Park, and boasts panoramic views of Lake Ihema and the smaller Lake Shikani.
Situated just 5km from the South entrance of the Park, the lodge is conveniently located to explore the park. It is only a 20-minute drive to Lake Ihema where guests can hop on a boat and see Rwanda and its wild denizens from a different angle.
