At the heart of this groundbreaking initiative lies Rouxcel’s Artificial Intelligence (AI)-enabled rhino collars. These collars utilize sophisticated algorithms to provide real-time abnormal behavior alerts, allowing for swift and accurate response in the event of potential threats to the rhinos.
Installed atop high points across the reserve, signal towers facilitate the transmission of data from the collars to the control room. When abnormal behavior is detected, precise GPS coordinates are relayed, enabling our Anti-Poaching Unit (APU) to respond promptly and effectively. Craig Turner, General Manager at Mantis Founders Lodge, emphasizes the system’s efficacy: “This is the best available monitoring system on the market right now… allowing us to track rhino behavioral patterns and home ranges while sending alerts for immediate response.”
